#200coffees with Neha Mirsky

If you believe in, and respect your capabilities along with the value you create for your clients, you will be able to turn your passion into profession, successfully.

I met Neha through a common friend sometime back and this time we met to discuss our professional journeys over a cup of coffee. A half hour meeting turned into a conversation that went over two hours.

Neha Mirsky is a person of India origin who was born in #Ambala. She is a proud atheist, who always questioned the traditions and the normal. Those who did not understand her poit of view considered her to be a rebel, but she was comfortable with herself without bothering too much about what others think. She moved to the West (USA) where she spent her adult life. She married an American guy and became well settled in her job with Siemens.

But inside of her, she was itching for a creative outburst. Neha since childhood was always inclined towards creative things. As a child Neha wanted to be a theatre artist, but as she grew she fell in love with fashion. She was an avid photographer and photography became her passion. Soon she clubbed her passion for photography and her age old love for fashion to quit her corporate role to be a Fashion Photographer. Neha created her repute in Fashion Photography in US and worked for actors, singers as well as for magazines.

By now Neha had two kids. Neha and her husband wanted to give their children exposure to Indian culture and this prompted them to consider moving to India. They moved to India about an year ago. Now Neha is working as a Fashion Photographer in India trying to bring international standards, not only in photography, but also the way she manages her clients. I was impressed when she explained how she prepares her clients few days prior to the shoot as well as for the day of the shoot. Her approach to assignments she takes up is professional and ensures she gets the best out of her subject.

The one thing I learnt from Neha’s journey is that if you believe in, and respect your capabilities along with the value you create for your clients, you will be able to turn your passion into profession, successfully. I also loved the way she presents the outcome of her work to the clients as a final delivery, demonstrates creativity and richness in every small aspect of her work.
